I purchased this as a replacement for a Yiboo mini Euro Tiger Airsquire, which broke one of the connecting arms between the key rotor and stabilizing bar. These new rotors have a slightly various stabilizer - it has way more of a wing profile than the original sort. I wasn't certain if they would work but for $4 what is there to lose?
Once fitted, the helicopter flies a lot a improved than it ever did just before! It is significantly extra stable and does not veer off into the wall when attempting to take off (which is what broke my original rotor). Some reviewers here said that their models would not fly any more for the reason that of the weight of the new rotors, but the Yiboo is OK.
No directions came with the new rotors so here's what worked for me (For the Yiboo anyway). Acquiring the old rotor off is not simple! If the old rotor will not just pull off:
Cut across the plastic shaft of the old rotor just beneath the stabilizer bar, and above the tell tale hole with wire cutters or related. You can now eliminate the stabilzer and major rotor. Do not cut any lower as you will cut through the metal drive shaft. This leaves the plastic shaft which is component of the rotor about an inner metal shaft which conencts to the drive motor. You should be careful not to bend or damage the metal shaft.
Cut along the length of the remaining plastic shaft with a craft knife. It takes a number of cuts to get through. I produced two cuts 180 degrees apart. Be cautious not to cut your self! You can now peel the two halves of the remains of the plastic shaft away from the metal inner shaft. I couldn't get all the way to the end of the plastic as it was within the body of the helicopter. Cutting as far down as I could, and peeling away released the plastic part from the metal shaft and I was in a position to pull the remains of plastic away from the metal inner shaft. This strategy absolutely destroys the old rotor of course, but I'm assuming you're replacing it due to the fact it is currently damaged.
The new rotor just pushed onto the shaft very simply. I put to use washing up liquid to ease it on and the pressure of my finger and thumb was adequate. You know it is on far adequate when you can see the metal inner shaft through the tell tale hole.
I can't guarantee that this technique will function for all brands of Electric Helicopter, but it can give some strategies. Good luck and pleased flying.
This is the correct component if you have a PicooZ/Air Hog Havoc 2-ch heli.
Make positive that the rotor fits snugly, for the reason that a loose fit will not give sufficient lift to get your heli up and running even though the rotors appear to spin . You also have to adjust trim and make sure that the tail rotor is clean of wrapped hair or fuzz, and perfectly perpendicular to the main rotor- these are necessary for proper functioning of the heli, and typically have to be checked/adjusted soon after each crash.
This replacement is surely sturdier than the original rotor, as nicely as the single spare that came with the original heli.
